MaryKay Dahlgreen began her term as State Librarian in March 2012. She has been at the Oregon State Library since January 1996, starting out as Youth Services Consultant for nine years before becoming Program Manager of Library Development for seven years. Dahlgreen also served as Interim State Librarian for two months before her appointment as State Librarian. Her previous library experience includes multiple positions with the King County Library System in Seattle, WA, and Supervising Librarian in Children’s Service at the Albany Public Library in Albany, OR. She has also gained library experience in Vermont and Alaska, after completing her Masters of Librarianship at the University of Washington.
