If you have questions, just ask our friendly staff to help!  We have an historic card catalog to help in your search by title, author and/or subject.

Outreach Activities

For Children:

Tuesdays at 2 PM the Library hosts Parents and Pals Storytime. This preschool age story time is followed by a free playgroup. Join us and meet new parents and children!

Each Friday at 11 am we have a Story Time for Children.  Librarian Sherri read stories, sings songs and reads books for children from preschool to middle elementary. Although the older children and adults love to stop in and listen.

For Adults:

The third Thursday evening of each month the Library hosts a program for adults. We feature World Cultures & Travel along with an Estate Planning Series. These programs are free and open to any one. No Childcare provided. Library manners expected.

The Library's Collection

The Library collection includes books and audio books for adults and children.  A magazine room with current magazines available for check out.  A Genealogy section that includes The Times of Brownsville, Oregon from 1898 - current.  Information about local pioneer families, local historic homes, cities and counties in Oregon. Plus much more.

Community Spaces in the Library

We have a meeting room called the Kirk Room that can be reserved for special functions.  Amenities include a 12-cup coffee maker, white board, Samsung Smart tv, video/movie screen and seating for 36 persons.  This room may be reserved for a small fee.   Reservations can be made by clicking on this link.
