The Cambodian people have suffered beyond belief — first the carpet bombing of what they call the American war then the genocidal Pol Pot regime. Now in a few short decades they are reclaiming their illustrious and fascinating medieval past.  We explore the ruins of Angkor and witness their efforts to build for the future.  Don has made a half dozen trips to Cambodia to photograph and lead study tours for Friendship with Cambodia.

World Cultures and Travel's Series continues at the Library in the Kirk Room.  Former professional photographer and tour guide Don Lyon and others are the presenters of these delightful and informative programs. Other programs include pictorial tours of November 21: The Human Face of Islam, January 16: Tribal Life in SE Asia, and the February 20: Natural History or Argentina All programs are free of charge.
