Let's Pretend

Librarian Sherri's weekly Story Time notes

Let’s pretend our train is running on the tracks! Margaret Wise Brown wrote about a child pretending their toy train went down the track headed west. Join us on Friday as we pretend to send our train down a track. Perhaps we will end up at the Library to choose some books! Story Time has been lots of fun what with the Pirates, Cub Scouts and more pirates visiting with us this summer. Time to settle into the last two weeks of summer and enjoy the weather.

One of the rhymes we have been learning lately has been:

Hands on Shoulders Hands on knees

Hands behind you, if you please

Hands down low and touch your toes

Hands on head now touch your nose

Hands up high and to reach the sky

Hands on head now your toes

Hands up high as before

Now clap three times

Red Yarn Productions

Red Yarn is coming! No not another great craft, but a puppet guy and so much fun! Friday, September 27 beginning at 2 pm. He will be performing his production of ‘The Deep Woods’.

If you have a moment watch this great YouTube video of the Red Yarn Band

Mr. Ferguson will be performing solo, but still will be LOTS of fun! Hope to see you there!

See you at the Library Friday at 11!
